June of 2024 my beautiful dad was tragically took from us. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and got caught up in a fight scene. My dad was an innocent bystander at the time who wasn’t involved in the chaos, the day that evil man killed my dad has destroyed my life and has changed it forever. My hero was took, his life got cut far too short.

My dad was the most kindest, care freed, laidback and realest man you could ever meet. He taught me everything and would help anyone. It kills me everyday that he’s not here, life is nothing without him that awful man has ruined my life, my dad will never see me grow up and do the things I wanted.

But I know it can’t end like that, all I want is to do him proud. Which is why I have chosen to take part in this marathon, the money I raise will be donated to ‘one punch charity’ in which will help spread awareness of these assaults and the impact it leaves on the families of the victims. Not to turn to violence.

I kick myself everyday and feel so guilty- ‘what if I was to have rung him’. ‘messaged him’. Maybe the course of time would have changed, and he’d still be here? I never got to say goodbye dad, it breaks me everyday and not a moment goes by where I don’t think of him.
