Bake and jewelry sale

Support the Year 8 students from Abbey Park Academy as they take on WeSeeHope's Social Entrepreneurs Project and raise money for young people living in poverty in East Africa!

Story

We are taking part in WeSeeHope's Social Entrepreneurs Project (SEP).

Our challenge is to come up with a creative business idea and to turn £10 of 'seed capital' into a profit for WeSeeHope by setting up our own business.

We have come up with the idea of a bake sale and jewerly sale in morrisons!

Our profits will be supporting WeSeeHope's work with vulnerable children across East Africa. This will include their Vocational Training Programme, which provides young people who have dropped out of school with on-the-job training in the likes of tailoring, carpentry, hairdressing and mechanics, helping them to launch their own businesses too.

To put this into context, if we can turn £10 into £150 this is enough to train a young person in a vocational skill and give them the tools to set up their own business!
