Story
In January this year I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer which had spread into my lymph nodes in my neck. Through operations and treatment the most amazing doctors and nurses have removed nearly all of the cancer and in August I had my (hopefully) last round of radio-iodine treatment.
Being diagnosed with cancer at 21 has been the toughest experience of my life, however, I have been so so lucky to be supported by the Ella Dawson Foundation whilst I've been in hospital and between my treatments. The charity supports young people with cancer by providing psychological, exercise and nutritional support. I can't thank the team at Ella Dawson Foundation enough for their support in helping me navigate this unprecedented and scary part of my life, whether that be just having someone to always talk to or exercise rehab to get back my fitness and give me a sense of normality
Just to add one more challenge to 2025, on the 12th October I will be running a half marathon to raise money for this AMAZING charity. Any donations will help the Ella Dawson Foundation to empower and help individuals battling cancer and their families.
