Story
Hello friends, family and fellow peak‑lovers!
We’re two slightly mad accountants who’ve decided to swap our favourite wine and prosecco catch‑ups for muddy boots and breathtaking Lancashire hills. On 6–7 September 2025, we’re taking on the Race Across Lancashire – an epic 200‑mile adventure, inspired by Race Across the World, raising funds for Lancashire Women.
What’s the challenge?
200 miles across the county, using only public transport, local footpaths, a limited travel budget, and classic paper maps – no GPS, no taxis, no luxury.
Teams will unlock each next checkpoint one clue at a time. Along the way, there’ll be quirky local‑history challenges to top up our travel funds – if we run out, so do we! Just like the TV show.
We’ll be racing against up to 25 teams, each relying on brains, brawn and a bit of Lancashire grit.
Why do we care so much?
Lancashire Women supports over 6,000 people every year, offering:
Mental‑health and wellbeing sessions
Employment and money‑advice
Energy‑advice home visits
Justice & Safety support for those at risk of domestic abuse or homelessness
What your donations can do:
£3 ➝ keeps community hubs warm and stocked with a cuppa
£11 ➝ pays for a 30‑minute session with a money‑advisor
£19 ➝ provides a winter‑warmth pack
£49 ➝ funds at‑home energy‑advice visits
Fundraising target: £2,000.
That means if you can spare anything – £5, £10, £50 – it all adds up to make a big difference!
How you can help
Donate – even £3 helps!
Share – spread the word with friends, local businesses, social media.
Support – cheer us on during our muddy, breathless journey!
So that’s it: we’re swapping fizz for footpaths, calculators for compasses, spreadsheets for steep climbs. We’re terrified, excited, and fully determined to cross that finish line – not just for the bragging rights, but for something far more important: helping women and families in Lancashire get the support they need.
Will you help us get there?
Click “Donate” now and join us on this wild ride. Let’s ditch the prosecco and raise the bar for Lancashire Women – one hill at a time!
Thank you 💪❤️
