Story

The time has come for me to finally stop denying the fact that in April 2025, I’ll be running the London Marathon—and I’m excited to raise money for the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust Charity (SABP). As someone who works for SABP, I’ve witnessed the incredible work the Trust does to improve the mental health of thousands of people. The dedicated staff work tirelessly to provide the best care, but with increasing demand, resources can be limited.

Over the past eight years, I’ve been part of older adults' inpatient and community mental health teams, so I’ve seen first hand how the SABP Charity can make a real difference. Donations allow the Trust to go above and beyond in patient care—helping fund things that aren’t covered by the NHS core funding, like sensory rooms, green spaces, and nature-based interventions. These are vital to the wellbeing of patients, families, and staff.

The charity also supports a staff hardship fund, helping those affected by the rising cost of living, which has become even more critical in recent times.

Here’s just a small insight into the inspiring work that SABP does: Ashmount : Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

None of us want to need the NHS, but when we do, it’s there. Help me raise £550 to support the vital work SABP does for patients and staff alike. Your donation will make a real impact, enabling the Trust to continue offering exceptional care when it’s needed most.

I’m incredibly grateful for any support you can give.

Thank you for your generosity!
