Story
In January 2025, we lost my darling cousin, Charlie York, who was just 20 years old at the time, to a life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
For those that knew Chaz, he was an incredible person. He was so kind and caring and filled every room with love and lots of laughter! We all miss him every single day.
In October, I will be taking part in the Oxford Half Marathon, in memory of Charlie for the charity Cystic Fibrosis Care. This wonderful charity was set up by Charlie's parents Sasha and Christy after he had a bilateral lung transplant at Great Ormond Street.
Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated, and will be directly helping families who are impacted by this devastating, hereditary disease.
CF Care know that many families and patients are struggling with the cost of living, travel to hospital, or the cost of re-training for work or enabling emotional counselling and much more. We provide hardship and welfare grants, emotional support, essential medical and physio equipment, and fund the training of CF nurses to provide a better quality of life for those with CF.
