Story
On May 12th 2025, I will be leaving John o' Groats and heading for Lands End on a 1942 Fordson Standard Tractor to raise money for Brain Tumour Research in memory of my Mum, Mary Bartlett.
This will be a trip of just under 1000 miles over 10 days.
I will be largely unsupported after being dropped off at Land's End, carrying my spares in an army trailer behind me with stops each night in various locations.
A little background
In December 2017 after a short state of illness my Mum received the devastating news that she had a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour.
After an operation to remove the tumour, 3 rounds of radiotherapy and 2 rounds of chemotherapy we all felt positive
What followed was a courageous battle from her with so much love and support from her family and many beloved friends over the next 20 months.
Sadly in August 2019 with her health deteriorating quickly we were given the devastating news that she had 8 weeks left with us.
Mum passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on October 10th 2019 aged just 63
All proceeds from this run will go straight to Brain Tumour Research who desperately need help to fight and find a cure for this horrendous disease.
Thank you everyone
