Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In December 2023, my granddaughter was born with Mosaic Down’s syndrome — and she’s been an absolute inspiration ever since.
Mosaic Down’s syndrome is a form of Down’s syndrome where only some of a person’s cells have the extra chromosome 21, rather than all of them. This means characteristics can vary from person to person. Like all children with Down’s syndrome, she has her own strengths, challenges, and a huge personality. Watching her grow, smile, and take on the world has inspired me to do something positive in her name.
So in 2026, I’m taking on three big challenges to support two wonderful charities doing life-changing work for people with Down’s syndrome and their families.
Here’s what I’ve got lined up:
🏃♂️ Challenge 1: I’ll be part of a team travelling from John O’Groats to Land’s End by running, cycling and walking. My section will take me through the beautiful Highland Perthshire countryside, from Blair Atholl to Dunkeld. Completed on 20/03/26 ✅
🏅 Challenge 2: I’ll be running the London Marathon, one of the most iconic races in the world.
⛰️ Challenge 3: I’ll be running in the Mavericks Ochil Ultra 50km
