Story
On 26th April, I’m running the London Marathon in memory of my dad, Hugo, who was tragically taken by sepsis.
Dad always admired marathon runners. I can picture him glancing at the race on TV over breakfast, then heading back to work on the farm, shaking his head with a grin: “Why would you put yourself through that?”
Well I’m doing it anyway! Losing him has been the hardest thing I’ve ever faced. I’m determined to run this marathon to raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust. So let’s give this a go.
Sepsis can progress quickly and is especially dangerous in farming communities, where cuts, animal contact, and soil exposure are common.
Every pound makes a difference—please give what you can to raise awareness, support research, and save lives. I’m running for Dad, and for everyone affected by sepsis
