In July 2023, Myself and Jess became proud parents to beautiful Bonnie Mae Eggleton, but sadly she was born sleeping at 39 weeks. Approximately 8 babies a day are stillborn in the UK, so many parents understand the heartache we face each day.

Myself and Jess were able to spend some time with Bonnie following her birth, to be able to hold her, cuddle her, kiss her and say goodbye to her. During this time, the hospital introduced us to a charity called Remember My Baby.

Remember My Baby is a registered charity dedicated to providing the meaningful and heartfelt gift of baby remembrance photography to parents across the UK who have experienced the loss of their baby before, during or shortly after birth.

A wonderful volunteer from the charity attended the hospital at very short notice, professionally and delicately guided us through the experience. The photos are provided on a memory stick after editing, none of which is a cost to the couple or the hospital.

The photos taken of Bonnie, are the only keepsakes that we have to look back at our baby girl, and for this we are eternally grateful.

In order to support Remember My Baby, Myself and Hannah (Bonnie’s Auntie) are running the Great South Run on Sunday 20th October 2024, raising money for the charity and in memory of our precious little girl, who we lost but we will never forget.

Unfortunately Jess was due to be part of the run team and started training with us but is no longer able to join the race as she is currently pregnant with Bonnie’s soon to be brother or sister. However they will both be there on the day cheering us on.

Please can we ask for any donation to support this wonderful charity who provide families with a tangible legacy to honour and commemorate their precious baby while navigating the complexities of grief.

Any/ all donations will be greatly received by not only us but also this amazing charity as all donations go towards various items supplied by Remember My Baby including a freephone request service, volunteer expenses, editing, memory sticks for photos and recorded deliveries of items to families.
