Nuclear Coast to Coast: Riding for Mental Health in Construction
I’m proud to be an Ambassador for Construction Sport, and I’m taking on a huge challenge to support a cause that’s saving lives.
I’ll be cycling from Hinkley Point to Sizewell C, pushing through the miles to raise awareness and funds for Construction Sport, a charity dedicated to tackling the mental health crisis in the construction industry.
Why This Ride Matters
The construction sector has one of the highest suicide rates in the UK. Long hours, high-pressure environments, and job uncertainty create a mental health storm that too often goes unspoken. Too many people in the industry feel alone, without a support network, and without a way to open up.
That’s where Construction Sport steps in. By using sport as a way to bring people together, they create a space where conversations can happen, where camaraderie can form, and where support can be found. It’s more than a charity—it’s a lifeline for those who need it most.
Why I’m Doing This
As someone who’s experienced the power of teamwork, resilience, and pushing through challenges, I know how important it is to have people around you who have your back. Whether it was my time in the military, on the rugby pitch, or in my professional career, I’ve seen firsthand how strong support networks can change lives.
This ride isn’t just about endurance—it’s about making sure no one in construction feels like they have to battle alone.
How You Can Help
Every pound raised will help Construction Sport continue their vital work—getting more people involved, breaking the stigma, and ultimately saving lives.
If you can donate, please do—every bit makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page will help spread the message and raise awareness.
Let’s show that in construction—and in life—we’ve got each other’s backs.
