Story
In August 2016 our world fell apart, our son Aaron Lewis was born with his angel wings. This came out of the blue and Natalie and myself didn't know what to do, what to say or how to explain this to our 2 young children. We received an Aching Arms comfort bear and it had such an impact on our lives as a family. it was a focal point for us to grieve and hold something in our arms. Since than Aching Arms has supported me and my family in so many ways and the charity is like a second family to us and since then i have tried to give back in anyway possible. This leads me on to my newest way of giving back to such an incredible charity.
In memory of our angel Aaron Lewis, in September I aim to walk the River Thames trail, from the source to the Thames barrier which is around 190 miles. The significance around the number 190 is that Aching Arms are currently providing support, aftercare and comfort bears in over 190 hospitals across the UK.
My aim is to continue to raise awareness and show bereaved families that support, advice and help is available for everybody. For this amazing charity to continue doing this vital work I will look to raise as much money as possible so please give what you can because every pound you give helps support a family in their darkest days.
