Story
During end-of-life care, my Dad lived with dementia. I saw him lose the ability to live independently and the person I knew slowly fade away. I have seen first-hand and in my work the devastating impact dementia can have on lives.
In 2020, I was due to take part in Manchester marathon and this was cancelled shortly before the race was due to take place because of the pandemic. 5 years later than planned I am running for Alzheimer's Society.
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
