Why I’m Fundraising for The Joshua Tree

Imagine being told your child has cancer. Your world stops. Everything becomes uncertain, hospital visits, treatments, and fear become part of daily life. In the middle of this chaos, there’s a quiet but powerful force standing beside families: The Joshua Tree.

This incredible charity supports families across North West England and North Wales who are affected by childhood cancers. From diagnosis, through treatment, and far beyond remission, The Joshua Tree provides emotional, practical, therapeutic and educational support for as long as a family needs them.

And the best part? It’s all free of charge.

But this kind of support doesn’t happen without help. It’s made possible by people like you and me.

That’s why I’m trekking to the Arctic in January 2026. I want to make sure The Joshua Tree can continue to be there for every family who needs them, when they need it most.
