I am running the London Marathon in support of the My Wish Charity at the West Suffolk Hospital. Specifically, I'm supporting the Wish Upon a Star appeal to benefit the maternity ward as my way of thanking them for the support and assistance they gave us during the birth and following weeks after Emilia was born. After a fairly traumatic birth resulting in significant blood loss due to a postpartum hemorrhage, the care they provided to support Jess was exceptional. Following the birth of Emilia on 30th November 2023, Jess completed quite a few nights stay on the maternity ward to recieve iron and blood transfusions and subsequent hosptial visits, during every visit the team always went above and beyond to offer the best care for her and Emilia. Without their care during them critical days, I would have had to carry on working my way through the M&S meal deal selection for longer than even I would have liked!

Your support will truly make a difference to the My Wish Charity and make the run more rewarding (albeit not less painful!).
