Story
Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my story.
April 2023 was the post pivotal point of my life and it was also nearly the end of it.
I've had a long time suffering with my mental health since I lost my dad to suicide in 2015. He wasn't just my dad, he was my best friend and absolute rock. I went down the route of masking my emotions with alcohol and drugs, which spiralled out of control in the later years.
April 20th 2023 was the day that my demons got the better of me and I tried to end my life, exactly how my dad it.
Still to this day I don't know how I survived.
My mum was first on the scene and had to cut me down and resuscitate me, until the paramedics turned up. Yorkshire Air ambulance were called and helped to try save my life.
I went into a coma and had my loved ones by my side praying that I would open my eyes.
Miraculously, 2 days later, I came out of a coma and received test results that I was going to have no further damage.
This was time to face my demons in full force and make some serious lifestyle changes. I decided to get sober, rebuild my life and owe it to the people who saved my life.
I've had to rebuild my business, so the past 2.5 years have been non stop. I'm still sober and my business is absolutely thriving.
This year I want to set myself some challenges and try raise some money to the people who saved my life.
My challenges are going to mainly consist of hiking, running and climbing mountains. I'll be posting on my Facebook all the updates.
