We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. By 2050, we believe everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Story

I'm taking on a 52km run at the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge in 2024 to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, the UK's largest charity which funds life-saving research and care to those affected by breast cancer. I'll be running in support of family, friends, and others currently battling or affected by breast cancer.

This is going to be my first ultra-marathon (hopefully of many), and will be a huge challenge, but I'm looking forward to all of it! If you see me on any of the hundreds of kilometres of training I have ahead of me, yes I'm usually that pink and sweaty! The Isle of Wight Challenge will involve running 52km from Chale to Cowes via the Needles, with ~900m (about a Munro!) of elevation, so I have a lot to prepare for.

I aim to raise £5000 for Breast Cancer Now, and I appreciate any donations to support them in their goal that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well.

Slàinte and breast wishes,

Rowan
