Domestic abuse has a profound impact on our society. One in four women and one in six men experience this cruel, soul sapping abuse at some point in their lives. Over half of women affected have children living with them and it may have a lifelong impact on them. So much so that exposure to domestic abuse is recognised as one of the most important adverse childhood experiences.

Helping families experiencing domestic abuse can change lives for generations to come. As a Trustee of Welsh Women’s Aid I know how crucial, life changing and important their work is.
