Story
UPDATE:
THANK YOU so much to everyone who has sponsored me! I found the race really tough: my first marathon in 8 years after a big break from running. I actually found it harder than the London Marathon! BUT it's done and I may feel even prouder given how hard it was. I'm now enjoying being back at parkrun: 5k is a much nicer distance and the community is great!
THANK YOU AGAIN!

In May, I'm running my first half marathon in 8 years (!). I'll be slower, but no less determined. 😊
I'm fundraising for the wonderful hospice where my Dad was cared for in the final weeks of his life, before passing away at home in June 2025.
Every staff member, both in the hospice and in community, was just wonderful and my sister and I are profoundly grateful for their support.
Queenscourt is a small charity, similar in their services to the much bigger and familiar MacMillians.
Thank you so much for donating and supporting their work in helping people to live the last weeks and months of their life with dignity and support.
With love, Rowena xx

More from the charity:
We believe no-one should face a life-limiting illness alone. Our aim is to give adults with far advanced, serious and progressive diseases the best possible Specialist Palliative Care free of charge, whilst supporting their families and carers.
Due to the impact of Coronavirus we are experiencing a significant loss of income which as a small charity with a BIG reach will hit us hard.
we are therefore grateful for your support at this challenging time, as it will make all the difference.
Thank you for helping to keep Queenscourt in service.
