Story
On behalf of Calpe Rowing Club (CRC), we are grateful for the time you are taking to view our just giving page for the 24 hour team row.
This year on the 6th of September at 10:00am in Calpe Rowing Club's main hall, a select group of CRC rowers - who have competed at national level - will take on the arduous task of a 24 hour team row. The format of this challenge will be such that each team member will complete a minimum of 2 hours in allocated time slots across the 24 hour period.
To stay motivated throughout the challenge we have set ourselves the target distance of 275km - the equivalent of crossing the english channel over 8 times - alongside the ambition of raising £2000. This will not only keep everyone motivated, but will lead us to rely on our teamwork and perseverance to overcome the strenuous physicality of the challenge.
Furthermore, during the challenge we will have static cycling bikes alongside our team's rowing machine - available to all spectators who have donated to the cause - as well as a bake sale, with all proceeds adding towards our total donation. Designed to make this an interactive event, these features will allow followers to come and push us along in a more engaging way, or simply enjoy our plethora of baked goods and a day in the sun.
In the lead up to the event, cash donations are happily accepted by myself or any of the team members. In addition, on the day itself there will be cash boxes available for anyone to donate any loose change they may have.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
We appreciate the time taken to visit our just giving page, it really does mean a lot to us and all those at Cancer Relief Gibraltar - any donation helps.
