Story
As a proud veteran, Ambassador for RBVE and one of the Founding Patron's of their Tommy Club, I will be taking part in the Normandy Great Tommy Sleep Out on 9 March to raise funds for homeless veterans across the UK.
I’ll be sleeping outdoors at the British Normandy Memorial, close to Gold Beach - where British forces landed on 6 June 1944. It is a deeply humbling and historic place, and a powerful setting in which to reflect on past sacrifice and the responsibility we carry to support those who serve today.
Having personally seen the extraordinary work RBVE does for veterans facing hardship, this cause is incredibly close to my heart. The charity provides vital housing, employment support and practical assistance - helping former service men and women rebuild stability, dignity and purpose in civilian life.
Every donation, however small, helps ensure that veterans facing homelessness receive the support they deserve.
