Story
Salam, and peace.
The Palestinian plight is one now well known, and the heart break of violence against folk continues, and since 2023 the loss of life has been staggering.
Amongst them, over 4000 have lost one or more limbs in attacks, and it's thought that Gaza has the highest number of child amputees per capita in the world.
Arrivals in refugee camps are constant, and the need to help is apparent, and great.
I'm travelling to Egypt in Ramadan with an intent of raising donations and distributing on the ground in refugee camps directly whilst there. Donations will be directed towards proving much needed food, water and medical aid.
We'll also be working to provide prostheses to children who have lost limbs in the violence and working to help establish and maintain some aftercare.
“Unlike adults, children are still growing so they need their prosthetic limb to be adjusted regularly and changed every year. This level of care is very difficult for children to access in Gaza. A prosthetic leg means independence and self-confidence. It can completely change a life.” says George Graham, Executive Director of Humanity & Inclusion UK
Consider helping and know what you give is being given directly to those who need.
Updates will be provided regularly, give if you can and tell others to spread awareness.
With gratitude
Rownak
