Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after as someone is diagnosed with this cruel condition. Yet, dementia is not just the normal result of aging - it is caused by disease. This means that it should be preventable.

In the UK alone there are nearly 1 million people struggling with dementia. We have all known an older friend or relative affected by dementia. But it is not just the elderly that are impacted, early onset dementia can strike people as young as 30.

I am raising funds for Alzheimer's Research because of my experience of seeing a family member struggle and eventually pass away as a result of dementia. They were in their early 60s. In retrospect, you can identify evidence of the onset of the disease much, much earlier.
