In 2024, everything changed. A life-threatening cycling accident left me broken, vulnerable, and forced to confront how close I had come to losing everything. At the same time, I was grieving the loss of a dear friend to cancer. In the stillness of recovery - between pain, reflection, and gratitude for simply being alive - I gained a clarity I had never known before. I realised that survival carried responsibility. I chose to turn trauma into purpose, committing to LEJOG as a way to honour life, remember Lisa that we lost far too early, and actively contribute to the fight against cancer.
