200k Challenge · 26 April 2025
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
David Bright, a very popular member of the village of Swallowcliffe, has been such a prominent person in helping shape the village to become the very special place it is today.
David is respected and loved by everyone. Until his Parkinson’s diagnoses, he led heavily on the majority of committees; he was always generous with his time, volunteering himself for everything and the sort of person every village needs. He just loved his community including the Royal Oak pub. David was at the heart of our village and although not able to live here now, he remains a very important villager loved by all.
Fundraising for Parkinsons is our way of thanking David for the commitment and devotion he gave to our community.
Apart from seasonal fundraising events at the Royal Oak, Swallowcliffe will be joining together to do a 200k challenge to raise as much money as possible for Parkinsons. On Saturday 26th April twenty of Swallowcliffe’s ladies will embark on the challenge which will involve either a 10k walk, run or combination of both walk/run. 20 ladies x 10k equals our 200k challenge, arriving back at the Royal Oak for approximately 11am. Please, please support this wonderful cause by donating through the JustGiving page.
