Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
26 January 2024, my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It has been the hardest nine months seeing Victoria fight on a daily basis to overcome this horrible disease. Sixteen weeks of Chemotherapy, various procedures and finally after 201 days she had surgery to remove the tumor and all her lymph nodes from her infected armpit where the cancer had spread. She has been incredibly brave, super strong throughout and inspired so many but unfortunately the journey doesn't finish there. She will need radiotherapy and medication for many years that comes with many side affects but she still goes about her day with a smile on her face and being an amazing mum to our two wonderful children.
I wanted to give something back and thanks to Breast Care Now they gave me that opportunity to run my 11th Marathon, helping hem raise awareness and much needed funds. I have participated in many charity events but none this close to home. I can now see and really appreciate first hand how charities especially Breast Cancer Now work with hospitals, patients and families.
