Story

To support the British Red Cross and those affected by the tragic earthquake in Turkey/Syria, we are holding an RRG inter-branch football tournament on Tuesday 28th February to raise money and show our support.

Each player will be donating money to play and we'd like to encourage you to show your support and donate what you can via the link on this page. If you would like to show your support on the day you are very welcome to come and watch our teams play at from 7pm at Powerleague Manchester Central, 20 Union St, Manchester M12 4JD.

Reports now suggest that over 41,000 have been killed, and many thousands more injured. These figures continue to rise. In response the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has launched an appeal as our teams continue to support with search and rescue, providing essential aid and supporting the wounded

The DEC unites 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialists in different areas of disaster response.

Right now, rescuers are racing to save people in Türkiye and Syria who are trapped beneath the rubble, and get shelter and support to those who have lost their homes or are afraid to return inside.

We're deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Sadly, we also have colleagues whose families have been directly affected by this disaster.

The effects of this disaster are still unfolding and any donations to our fundraiser will be greatly appreciated.
