In September 2022 the first ever pupils of Rochester Riverside CofE Primary School began their school lives. But building delays meant they have had to start their educational journey in a Portakabin on the site of The Pilgrim School, Borstal, instead. They have all been wonderfully resilient despite the fact the start of their school lives has not been how they, or their families or teachers, envisaged it.

Now the children are beginning to get very excited about moving to their permanent site in September 2023, and to mark the transition on the afternoon of Thursday 13th July will be taking part in a sponsored walk. They will be undertaking a "pilgrimage along the riverside" by walking approximately 4.5km from The Pilgrim School, Warwick Crescent, Borstal, to Rochester Riverside Primary School, Rochester, via Rochester High Street. The distance may not seem too long, but neither are the legs of the four and five year olds taking part!

All the funds they raise will go to the Rochester Riverside PTFA. The PTFA exists to enrich and enhance the learning opportunities for all Rochester Riverside pupils, as well as build relationships between all members of the school community.
