Story
The Staff on Critical Care at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital have chosen to don their life jackets and ready their paddles to embark on the 2025 Dragon Boat Race for a very worthy cause. We are raising money for Severn hospice which does amazing work for people and their families when they really need it. Whether you are a pro at paddling, just want to chill by the river or anything in between, we would love to have you join us. It will be a day of fun and good vibes.
The Severn Hospice believe that no family should face the challenges of life-limiting illnesses alone. From the moment families are referred to their care, they stand by your side, providing unwavering support and compassion. Every day, they offer their services to anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales who needs it. This vital care is provided free of charge, but it comes at a significant cost.
For every £1 you donate, an incredible 84p goes directly towards the compassionate care they provide. The remaining 16p is strategically used to generate another £1 for their mission. Last year alone, thanks to the generosity of individuals like you, they were able to support 3,000 local families during their most challenging times.
As we prepare for the upcoming 2025 Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Festival on July 20th, we invite you to join us in making a difference. Our target is to raise £1,000 to ensure that we can continue offering this essential service. Your support can help us be there when it matters most. Together, let’s paddle towards hope and healing for those who need it most.
