Bangladesh has one of the highest child mortality rates in world. Approximately 24 infants DIE per 1000 births due to maternal complications.

Childbirth should be a joyous occasion for both mother and the family. Sadly, many would-be mothers in Bangladesh do not see the fruits of their labour because of preventable and poverty driven issues.

Alhamdullilah, to tackle this RDF Global have established a purpose built Maternity Clinic in the Sunamganj District.

RDF Maternity Care provides all medication, antenatal, postnatal and labour services for free to the most destitute.

It is a 24/7 facility with emergency ambulance response, as-well as dealing with day to day medical triage and minor trauma.

I am undertaking the Snowdon challenge and will climb the highest mountain in Wales to raise funds to support this project.
