Story
Many of you will know my sister Olive, who underwent spinal fusion surgery in 2023 after being diagnosed with scoliosis - a condition characterised by a curvature of the spine. It was a major procedure with a long period of recuperation. Fortunately, she’s recovered fully. She’s back playing tennis, swimming and enjoying life at Brookes. She’s also about an inch taller, which was a bit weird at first, but every cloud!
Scoliosis Support & Research is a charity dedicated to helping loads of people like Olive. They guide families through the experience of scoliosis and provide emotional and practical support while fostering a true sense of community. Their help is invaluable to young people, and it spans the entire journey from diagnosis to recovery. You can read more about what they do at ssr.org.uk
I’ll be running the London Marathon on April 26th, 2026, to raise money for SSR. Any donations you can offer will help them continue their awesome work and will make a big difference to people like Olive.
