I began running consistently at the start of this year and the biggest reason for this was for my mental health. Looking after my physical health plays a huge part in my mental health for me, it was my first course of action and always has been and always will be when i know i need to look after myself. It absolutely isnt a fix but for me it plays a huge part in looking myself and getting me to where i am now. The running community have always been so kind and welcoming to me and encounters from complete strangers have encouraged me when i was at my lowest. The sentence “just keep going” was said to me by a man running past me with a smile and I will never forget those, even though they probably wouldn’t have given it a second thought, but that kindness stuck with me and it feels right that I begin to pay that back.

Supporting a mental health charity means a great deal to me as i wish the stigmas around mental health are broken down. looking after our mental health should be considered just as important as looking after our physical health.

Everyone has mental health to look after, good and bad and supporting people is very important to me. I hope you find the kindness to help pay back to our community and support me to raise money for this important cause. Thank you!
