Story
Hello,
As some of you are aware, our son Frank was diagnosed with autism nearly two years ago. Anyone who has a child with autism knows it can change the whole family’s dynamic. Frank is now the centre of our world, putting his needs first and making sure he will be okay in all situations can take its toll. It means we don’t do all of the things we would like to do as a family. Juggling life with two other children and Frank’s needs can be a struggle. Although he has the most patient siblings, it can still feel heavy.
Frank started a specialist school back in January and is absolutely thriving. Knowing he has a safe place to go every day other than home means we can switch off while he’s there. This has been an absolute game changer for us, we count ourselves as one of the lucky ones that he has got a place in a good school.
The school is raising money to build a sensory studio which will benefit all the children. We have decided to run a half marathon at the end of May to help raise as much money as we can. We would feel happy if we can help in any way, as these children deserve the best. Any donation, big or small, will be really appreciated.
Thanks
Ruby & John
