Story
On November the 23rd 2025, my dad, Mark Vinall, passed away after facing cholangiocarcinoma — bile duct cancer — with strength, courage, and an unshakeable spirit. For over a year he battled the odds, meeting every stage of the journey with dignity and quiet bravery.
Dad was the man of a million stories and photos.
My very own Indiana Jones.
One of the kindest, most creative, and most capable men I will ever know.
He was a cave rescuer, a camera man, and a master of creativity. He could build anything, fix anything, and solve problems most people wouldn’t even attempt. His mind worked in ways that turned challenges into inventions — and the world into something worth exploring.
Even if you didn’t know him personally, you’ve likely seen the results of his work. His filming and creative skills appeared on Deadly 60, The Really Wild Show, 5News, and countless other wildlife and adventure productions. He travelled widely, capturing life at its rawest and most beautiful.
But more than all of that, he was my dad a provider, a protector, a man who shaped my world with patience, warmth, and quiet pride. Even when he didn’t fully understand my bodybuilding, he recognised the discipline and journeys it took me on the same thirst for challenge and adventure that lived in him.
I’m raising money for AMMF, the UK’s only cholangiocarcinoma charity, in his memory. Bile duct cancer is rare, aggressive, and often diagnosed too late. AMMF funds vital research, supports families, and raises the awareness that is desperately needed.
I am beyond proud of who my dad was, the life he lived, and the legacy he left behind.
I’ll carry on making you proud, Dad.
Rest easy now.
