Story
I am raising money in memory of my beloved grandmother, whom I fondly called 'Ayee' since I was little, after struggling to pronounce her other nicknames. Colette Worne was an extraordinary woman who passed down many of her passions to me. She had a deep love for the outdoors, spending her life cycling, hiking, and even trekking to Everest Base Camp at the remarkable age of 65! To her seven grandchildren, she was the most devoted and affectionate grandmother, and she took great pride in her Quebecois heritage. Ayee will forever be in my heart, watching over me as my guardian angel, just as she often promised.

Macmillan Cancer Support was a vital part of her life in the later stages, with the local support centre in Brighton offering a variety of services like yoga and Pilates classes, which she frequently attended. Any further donations to this incredible cause will, we hope, support many others facing similar challenges.
In support of Macmillan I will be cycling from John' o Groats to Lands End on the same trusty bicycle as my Africa trip. I will be attempting to loosely follow the majority of the route via the GB divide, a 1200-mile route through the most remote heartland of the UK, following the watershed. This is permitting the trails stay in-tact during the Winter! With 89,000 feet of ascent (The same as my 3.5 month Africa trip) I'm sure this will present its own challenges. The creators of the route have deliberately provided minimum information (such as resupply waypoints etc) for this route as not knowing, and finding out, is half the appeal.
