UPDATE!
In an extreme effort to boost donations Adam (One of the Rugby Dads) will be attempting to run 24 hours non stop around a 400m athletics track just 2 weeks before the big walk. Crazy but worthy of a donation!

Our story.
For many years, ‘the rugby dads’ braved the winter weather to cheer on and coach our lads on the rugby pitch - friendships grew and the support network became stronger.
Our friendship has supported each of us in many ways over the years - just the rugby banter often enough to simply regain perspective, reset, and go again.
As our lads started to fly their respective nests, we needed something to provide purpose for getting together regularly to chat, share and belong. So, daftly, we decided that training for, and then completing the Long Mynd Hike would be a good idea. And its worked! friendships are stronger now than ever.
During this time both Duncan and Grant suffered the devastating losses of their respective wives to Cancer. Without missing a beat, our group came together to provide support and a safe place. A training walk up Snowdon was just a week after Grant’s wife died - a day among friends being just what was needed.
Bridget and Sam were both looked after by the Severn Hospice in their final days. The care and love received from the hospice and their wonderful nurses was exceptional, with Duncan and Grant remaining forever grateful.
We are doing the Long Mynd Hike together to raise money for the Severn Hospice so that future families can receive the same care in their time of need.
And we are doing it because, as men of a certain vintage, the value of our friendship, the camaraderie, the banter and the belonging is more important than ever.
Please give generously. And you are all welcome on the next adventure!
