I’m running the Great Manchester 10K to raise money for Home Start. Home Start is a charity that means so much to me, both personally and professionally.

After leaving teaching, I chose to work more directly with families, and I now see first hand the life changing support Home-Start provides. They offer non judgemental, compassionate help to parents facing challenges like isolation, mental health struggles, and financial hardship, giving them confidence, connection and hope.

Through volunteers and staff, families are supported not just practically, but emotionally too. I’ve seen how this support can transform lives and help parents give their children the best possible start in life.

The money raised will also help provide special experiences, like days out that many families wouldn’t otherwise have access to, creating moments of joy and lasting memories.

I’m incredibly proud to be fundraising for Home Start. Every donation will make a real difference to families who need it most.
