Story
Bangladesh's poor makes up 20% of its population. The country experiences constant floods and cyclones, poor transportation and physical geography, low equipment numbers, low doctor to patient ratios and lack of healthcare education which makes a simple trip to the pharmacy a constant struggle.
Your donations will contribute to the development and growth of health camps, offering free healthcare to hundreds of people per day living in rural Sylhet, Bangladesh. You will be supporting the following 3 camps:
Upahar: Low-cost baby bundles for mothers and babies including sanitary pads, swaddle blankets and supplements - evidence-based interventions to make pregnancy safer and improve outcomes.
Porishkar: Mobile cataract services to improving eye health and restoring sight as well as livelihoods by enabling people to work and provide for their families.
Brush with Kindness: Dental hygiene education programme – to improve oral health and prevent oral disease in rural areas where there is little or no access to a dentist.
