My step-sister, Jenny, has a learning disability impacting her quality of life, day to day living and the lives of her family who were also her carers for decades. Jenny loved taking part in every activity of the Special Olympics that she could, especially playing football.

I have seen first-hand how these activities helped her develop better physical fitness, experience joy and share gifts, skills and friendships with other Special Olympics athletes and the community. She went on trips and took part in competitions, in which the Isle of Man team is well-renowned internationally.
