Remembering my brother, Jonny - raising money for Brain Tumour Research

Run 7k for J ~ 7km run along the River Thames
Slightly over a year on from my brother, Jonny, losing his fight against his brain tumour, we want to have an event to celebrate and remember him. We will be running a relaxed 7km along the River Thames.
Run 7k for J
Jonny loved running and so I thought it would be perfect for us to do a run along the beautiful River Thames. Starting in Furnivall Gardens, we will cross Hammersmith Bridge, run together along one side of Thames and back on the other side before finishing in Ravenscourt Park for a picnic.
In September 2022, our world was turned upside down when Jonathan was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumour. What we thought was going to be a straightforward recovery after surgery quickly became a devastating diagnosis: Diffuse Midline Glioma H3K27m Mutation.
Jonathan, being the fighter he was, never gave up hope. He faced it all with such strength and positivity, always trying to make the most of every moment. We truly believed he was going to beat it, and for a long time, it felt like he might. He was determined to get back to work, back to his life, and back to doing what he loved.
Research into this specific type of tumour is really limited. We know Jonny would have wanted to help others facing the same battle. By supporting Brain Tumour Research, this is our way of honouring his memory and helping to create a future where people with this diagnosis have a real chance.
Whether you can join us for the run or donate, we'd be so grateful for your support. Thank you.
