Story
Last October we very sadly lost a dear colleague and friend, Prabh Kang. This loss came as a huge shock to all those who knew or worked with him, and his loss continues to be felt.
To keep his memory alive, celebrate his life, and do something positive together as a team, a group of us have decided to lace up our running shoes and raise some money for a cause that we believe would have been close to his heart.
Prabh had a great love for music and was always passionate about making sure people from low-income backgrounds were supported and given equal opportunities. Because of this, we couldn't think of a better charity to support than Olympias Music Foundation. They are a fantastic Manchester-based charity that provides free one-to-one music lessons and instruments to young people in the city who are experiencing low income. They are all about reinventing music education, building confidence, and sharing the happiness that a musical life brings.
The Challenge:
To earn your donations, we are taking on two fantastic running events:
RunThrough Relays Media City: We have several teams passing the baton in a 3x5km relay race around MediaCity on Thursday 24th September.
Manchester Half Marathon: A few of us are then taking it a step further and following in Prabh’s own footsteps by tackling the full 13.1 miles of the Manchester Half Marathon!
How You Can Help:
Whether it’s £5 or £50, every single donation makes a huge difference. The money raised will go directly to Olympias Music Foundation, helping them open up the world for more young people to flourish through music.
It’s the perfect way for us to remember Prabh - by spreading a little more music, joy, and opportunity in the world.
Thank you so much for your donations, your support, and for cheering us on. It means the world to us!
