Story
7 Ultramarathons. 7 Cities. 7 Days.
For Every Family Touched by Cancer.
This September, Alan and Liam are taking on a running challenge across the world.
7 ultra-marathons (50km each) in 7 cities across 7 consecutive days — all to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the life-saving work they do to support Cancer research in Ireland.
Every city we run through - New York, Boston, London, Paris, Barcelona, Dublin, and finally Cork (Sept 21st 2025) - has been chosen because of its link to cancer research or care.
Each day of this journey will be dedicated to someone in our family who has battled cancer. Because like most people, we’ve all been affected - directly and indirectly, by this disease.
Why We’re Doing This..
Cancer doesn’t discriminate. It hits hard, often without warning. And in Ireland alone, 1 in 2 of us will develop cancer in our lifetime.
The Irish Cancer Society (ICS) works relentlessly to:
- Fund cutting-edge cancer research
- Provide support services for patients and families
- Offer free counselling, transport, and night nursing care in homes across Ireland
This run is our way of giving back — to honour those we’ve lost, support those fighting, and help build a better future for those yet to be diagnosed.
How You Can Help
1. Donate – Every single euro, dollar, or pound makes a real difference. Your support will go straight to the Irish Cancer Society.
2. Share – Spread the word. The more people who know, the more impact we can have.
3. Join Us – If you’re in or near any of these cities, come out and support us. Cheer, run a few kilometres, or just show up — it all means the world to us:
