Story
Hi! My name is Kim.
I have Rett Syndrome - an awful neurological disorder that messes up most everything I try to do - and it mainly affects GIRLS!
I cannot talk, use my hands or move around very well, but I can hear you. I understand you. I am smart. There are hundreds of thousands of other girls like me.

Rett syndrome is devastating for a family. Having suspected something was not quite be right, suddenly they are told their child will be profoundly disabled, with multiple health problems including epilepsy, a curved spine, breathing problems, feeding difficulties and gut/bowel issues.

This year my family are running the Belfast City Marathon to help raise money for RETT UK who help support girls like me and families like ours.

Rett UK is there to pick up the pieces; emotional support, high quality, accurate advice & information, advocacy, reducing isolation, empowering families, building emotional resilience and helping the person with Rett syndrome live a life worth living.
