Hi all,

My name is Sam Pearch and will be attempting to run 465 miles during the month of November. I will run the date in miles for example - 1st Nov = 1 mile, 2nd Nov = 2 miles and so on with the last run being 30th Nov = 30 miles.

My incentives around raising money for this charity are very close to home. After a number of unexplained collapses, I was admitted to hospital in 2021 for further investigation which resulted in me having a loop recorder fitted to track data from my heart. Unfortunately January 2022 an abnormality was detected where my heart stopped, I have scarring on my heart which was causing my heart rate to drop too low or stop and then i would collapse. It was decided I would have a dual lead pacemaker fitted which would stop my heart dropping below 40 bpm.

My story and this fundraising hopefully highlights what impact a heart condition can have on somebody and why the charity needs continued support for research and to help those in need.

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives.
