Story
This December, I’m running 300 kilometres in 24 days to raise money for James’ Place and shine a light on men’s mental health.
I’ve called the challenge Run Through The Darkness because that’s what this is really about, pushing through the tough days, the quiet battles and the moments where it feels easier to give up.
From the 1st to the 24th of December, I’ll be running every single day: 1km on the 1st, 2km on the 2nd… all the way up to 24km on the 24th. Cold, dark, winter runs. No days off. But mental health doesn’t take a day off either.
I’ve had my own ups and downs over the years, times where I’ve felt lost, struggled with motivation, or slipped into bad habits. Running has helped me get back on track, and I want to turn that into something positive for someone else.
Why James’ Place?
James’ Place provides life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis. The work they do in Liverpool is incredible, offering a safe space and real, practical help to men when they need it most. It’s a charity I deeply respect.
Throughout December I’ll share the journey every day – the good runs, the tough ones, and everything in between.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just follow along, it would mean a lot. Every pound raised helps men get life-changing support.
Let’s run through the darkness together.
