This year Cameroon Catalyst are continuing to fundraise for a series of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects which will support some of the least developed communities in rural eastern Cameroon. Eastern Cameroon has a high demand for additional water infrastructure, due to the influx of refugees from neighbouring countries, and the effects of climate change changing the level of the water table, meaning wells have to cover a greater depth in the ground. Our student team in Southampton are developing their design for a borehole well, which will be built this summer! 100% of the money fundraised through this campaign will go towards the design and construction of the water projects.
Our borehole well is part of our new project named SAFE Water, where we will work to deliver a sustainable, affordable, future proof, electric water system. This will provide a model for future projects.
