Can you support our Run 2 Remember Challenge to raise awareness and money for Alzheimer’s Research UK??

For the fourth year in a row, Lee and I have put together a team to take on this tremendous challenge. Together, we will be taking on the world famous David Goggins challenge of running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. That is 12 runs of 4 miles equalling 48 miles in total. It’s a challenge to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Their vision is a world where people are free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia. Alzheimer’s Research UK's is the leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.

Why are we doing such an enormous task? Why are we putting our mind and bodies through the pain? Simply put…. Family. Like countless other families have lost loved ones to dementia and Alzheimer’s or seeing the people we looked up to deteriorate in front of our eyes. We have cared for them when they don’t know who we are, loved every minute when they have the rare moments of normality. Family is like time, every moment is special but you don’t realise it until it’s gone and there is no way of getting it back.

It’s not going to be easy, it will be physically and mentally challenging, with little naps in between. Last year we managed to complete this challenge and raise over £2000, this year we aim to top this total and go that bit further.
