Story
Thank you for taking the time to view my fundraising page. As a keen runner Iāve always had a passion to take on new experiences. Never having ran a marathon before, Iāve decided to challenge myself running my first ever LONDON MARATHON and have been lucky enough to receive a place with a charity that is very close to my heart and has been so important to a very special young manās journey.
I'm hoping to raise £2,250Ā to support my nieceās son,Ā Jack, and one of the incredible charities that helped himāThe Childrenās Trust.
InĀ June 2024, Jack suffered a life-changing accident. He drowned at Margate beach and tragically now is left in conscious with moderate to serve impairment. His life and the familyās world was turned upside down.
Jackās recovery has been, and continues to be, a long and difficult journey. I have never met anyone with such strength, bravery, and determination as this young boyāhe simply refuses to give up.
A vital part of Jackās rehabilitation took place atĀ The Childrenās Trust centre in Tadworth, Surrey. There, he received outstanding care and support to help him on his journey toward recovery. Every single day, Jackās mum, Lisa, and the rest of the family stood by his side, encouraging every small step forward.
The therapists and teachers at the centre played a transformational role in Jackās progress. The equipment, expertise, and care they provided helped him get to where he is today. Jack spentĀ 17 weeks and 1 dayĀ at the centre, and Lisa attendedĀ every single session. While living there, she was surrounded by a network of doctors, nurses, and staff who offered unwavering support.
With Lisaās and Daveās (Jackās dadās) blessing, Iāve chosen to raise money forĀ The Childrenās Trustāa charity that supported Jack and continues to help countless children with brain injuries across the UK.
Jackās journey has taught me not to take a single day for granted. We must live fully and support those who need it however we can. The Childrenās Trust provides children and families with the chance to move forwardāone step at a time. Iāll carry that spirit with me during every mile of my training, on race day, and beyond.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your support means the worldāto me, to Jackās family, and to the many children helped by The Childrenās Trust.
Thank you so much. šš

Every year 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness, with many not able to access the support they need.
The Children's Trust aim is to reach and support more children with brain injury to give them the best life possible. Donations will help The Children's Trust with their goal, allowing the Trust to provide specialist rehabilitation, education and community services across the UK.
