Lingen Davies is the main cancer charity dedicated to supporting the people of Shropshire, Telford, and Mid Wales as they deal with the impact of cancer on their lives. We are raising money in support of Lingen Davies’ Sunflower Appeal – which aims to generate £5million to build a dedicated chemotherapy and cancer treatment centre at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

To fundraise for Lingen Davies, we are running The London Marathon in 2026!! This will be the first time either of us have attempted to run 26.2 miles. It promises to be a day to remember but also an incredibly gruelling and emotional challenge. Our legs will hurt, our feet will scream at us to stop, and our willpower to keep moving forward will be seriously tested, but we are determined to give this challenge everything we’ve got and see it through.

Lingen Davies exemplifies excellence in cancer care, not just through the medical treatment they provide but through the compassion they show to every one of their patients. They are beyond worthy of our support and of your donations.

We have seen first hand the phenomenal impact Lingen Davies makes to the lives of cancer sufferers, having provided exceptional care to Sarah’s Dad during his cancer treatment in 2024. Lingen Davies staff were there for Sarah’s Dad every step of the way through his cancer journey and the quick access to treatment that he was able to receive directly contributed to his recovery.

Creating a Lingen Davies chemotherapy and cancer treatment centre in Telford will mean more patients can access the treatment they need, when they need it. Combined with Lingen Davies’ existing chemotherapy services at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, this new, and much needed centre, will double capacity across Shropshire, Telford, and Mid Wales!
