Story
Why I’m fundraising:
In April 2026, I’ll be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, my first ever half marathon, to raise funds for LSHTM scholarships.
This challenge is more than just running. Over the past year, I’ve challenged myself through a wide range of activities, from weight training and treadmill sessions to HYROX, bootcamp, spin, pilates, and yoga, helping me grow stronger, more disciplined, and healthier. Maintaining this routine consistently, even on days I didn’t feel motivated, has been transformative, both physically and mentally.
Running this half marathon represents perseverance, focus, and stepping outside my comfort zone. Doing it for LSHTM, an institution that profoundly shaped my journey through my MSc Public Health for Development (PH4D), Postgraduate Diploma in Tropical Nursing (PDTN), and extensive work with the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (partnership between LSHTM and UK Health Security Agency), makes it especially meaningful.
Why LSHTM scholarships matter:
Education is life-changing, but talented students from overseas often face financial barriers. Your donation will support scholarships, helping students access MSc or PhD programs in global public health. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
My fundraising goal:
🎯 £500
I’ll be sharing updates on my training journey and milestones toward the half marathon. Thank you for your support, every donation and share counts!
